On Saturday 31 October from 4pm-9pm, the first ever Halloween Fork on the Road food truck event, Truck or Treat, will be held at the recently refurbished dockside location of Hart’s Mill, St Vincent Street, Adelaide, delivering a taste of the vibrant mobile food scene to the Port.
Following a hugely successful Fork event at this location in June, organiser Joe Noone says he is looking forward to transforming Hart’s Mill into a spooky but fun celebration of food.
Set against the backdrop of the historic flour mill, there will be plenty of space beside the uniquely designed playground to throw a picnic rug and tuck into the delicious fare of some of Adelaide’s best food trucks.
Indulge your tastebuds with a slow-cooked pulled pork and apple slaw burger from Low & Slow American BBQ, delicious gourmet cheese toasties from Cheesy St, or a belly-filling feed from Chimichurri’s sizzling Argentinian grill. Other food truck favourites, Tacocat, The Little Cake Tin and Moorish Bites will also be serving up their unique and mouth-watering dishes.
Fork-goers can sit back and listen to some ghoulish grooves while enjoying local beer and wine from Pirate Life, Swell Brewing, Swell Cider, Three Dark Horses, Oliver’s Tarranga and take some happy (or spooky) snaps with friends in the Sweet Cheeks Photo Booth.
Children will be well catered for with a special Halloween disco, hands-on spinning and juggling practice with PlaiSpace, a make-it-yourself cardboard ‘Haunted Truck’ and Halloween craft.
Food vouchers and Fork t-shirts will be up for grabs for the best costumes so get into the spirit of the event and come along in your best Halloween disguise.
